YOVERSE INC. (“Global YO”, “we”, “us”), a subsidiary of Yonder Media Mobile Inc., with address at 749 E 135th St, Bronx, NY 10454, USA, is the controller responsible for the personal data described in this Policy. This Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use and share it, and the rights you have. We recommend you read it before using the Global YO website, mobile application or services.
This Policy applies to Users of the Global YO website, mobile application and services worldwide. Depending on where you live, additional rights and protections may apply, and we honor the rights available to you under the law that applies to you. Where we process data on behalf of a partner, we act as described in this Policy and the relevant agreement.
Depending on how you use the Services and what you purchase, we may collect: identification data (such as name, date of birth, gender, official identification and tax identification where required); contact data (email, phone number, address, device identifiers, and, where you enable it, location); financial data (payment card details and related information); network and authentication data (username, logins, and access records); data from linked social or sign-in accounts; and preference and usage data. We request your consent where required for sensitive categories, financial data, or precise location.
We use personal data to create and manage your account and profile; verify identity; provide telephone, data and other Services; process payments and operate the YOYO$ program; provide customer support and billing; send service communications; operate, secure and improve the Services; prevent fraud and abuse; and comply with legal obligations. With your consent or where otherwise permitted, we may use data for marketing, personalization, surveys and analytics.
3.1 Legal bases (where GDPR or similar law applies)
We rely on: performance of a contract with you (to provide the Services); your consent (for marketing, precise location, and certain financial or sensitive data); our legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Services and prevent fraud), balanced against your rights; and compliance with legal obligations.
New. If you use the optional YOYO$ redemption functionality operated with Bancus, we share a limited set of data with Bancus to enable the operation: your linked Bancus wallet address, the amount of a redemption, a unique transaction identifier, and a User reference. We do not receive from Bancus your account-holder identity, identity-verification (KYC) status, card number, or card transaction history. Bancus does not receive your Global YO usage data, plan details, or YOYO$ earning history. Bancus processes your data as an independent controller under its own privacy notice, and your relationship for the wallet and card is with Bancus. Questions about the card, wallet, identity verification, or transactions should be directed to Bancus.
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with service providers and partners that help us operate the Services (under contract and confidentiality), with the network Provider for the telephone and data Services, within our corporate group, where necessary to perform a contract in your interest, to comply with law or lawful requests, to protect rights and safety, and in connection with a corporate transaction. Bancus receives only the limited data described in Section 4.
We are based in the United States, and your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries whose data-protection laws may differ from yours. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent mechanism, and you may request a copy of the safeguards we use. We take steps to ensure your data remains protected in accordance with this Policy.
We retain personal data for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect our rights, after which we delete or anonymize it. Retention periods depend on the type of data and the purpose, including any minimum retention required by law in the region where the Services are provided.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your data, to withdraw consent, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority. In Mexico, these include the ARCO rights (access, rectification, cancellation and opposition). In the EU and UK, they include the GDPR rights listed above. In US states with privacy laws, they include the rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of certain processing. To exercise your rights, contact us using the details in Section 12; we will respond within the period required by applicable law.
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. Use by minors is subject to the age rules in the Global YO Terms & Conditions, and the YOYO$ redemption functionality is available only to Users 18 or older. If we learn we have collected data from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will delete it.
We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, which may include encryption and pseudonymization, and we work to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and resilience of your data. No system is completely secure, and you are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential.
We and our providers use cookies and similar technologies for functionality, analytics and, with your consent where required, advertising. You can manage your preferences through your browser or our cookie controls.
For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact our privacy team at the address published on the Global YO website.
We may update this Policy from time to time. For material changes, we will give notice through the website, the mobile application, or by other appropriate means, and we recommend you review this Policy periodically. The date of the latest update appears below.
